Private PowderTM

Yellowstone Club in Montana's Rocky Mountains offers the finest skiing conditions in the world. We call it Private Powder and it's here exclusively for our Members, their families, and invited guests. Skiing and boarding at the Club includes over 60 runs and terrain to suit winter enthusiasts of all abilities, with a perfect mix of beginner terrain, intermediate runs, and expert chutes, trees, and gullies. Members enjoy the additional benefits of our experienced ski guides, instructors, and an on-staff professional ski patrol. Our staff, with their boundless enthusiasm and eye toward safety, ensure that everyone will enjoy their day on the slopes.

Over 2,220 skiable acres and 2,700 vertical feet make up the ski terrain at Yellowstone Club. Pioneer Mountain is the star of the Club, with a peak elevation of 9,860 feet and an amazing average of over 300 inches of snowfall each year. The Lodge Lift carries skiers and riders of all abilities nearly to the top of the mountain; a further ride aboard the Mountain Lift brings expert riders and skiers to the peak of the mountain. Terrain accessed off the Ridge Road is expert-only terrain (and we mean it - there are no beginner or intermediate runs here), offering challenging bowls, off-piste skiing, and thrilling chutes: this is as world-class as it gets, and offers a thrill to even the most skilled Members. If the 2,200 acres at the Club just aren't enough to whet your appetite, the adjacent ski areas of Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin offer an additional 5,712 skiable acres. That's the largest contiguous ski terrain in North America.

Yellowstone Club is known for its unsurpassed access to terrain. Lifts on Pioneer Mountain bring skiers and riders to the best spots; from the lift, enjoy the perfect corduroy back to the Warren Miller Lodge, or seek out hidden stashes of powder. Lifts also run to Andesite Ridge and Big Sky Ridge, allowing for true ski accessibility for most of the Club's residences. In addition, potential future lifts are already sited on Eglise Mountain, meaning that as the Club grows, so will the terrain. Yellowstone Club will always be home to Private Powder: no lift lines, bubble chair lifts, untouched powder, and inspiring terrain.

When you are on the mountain, ski into a warming hut to take your experience to the next level. These huts, or "Sugar Shacks" as they're affectionately known, are the epitome of on-mountain luxury. The huts are places to warm up and relax with friends; each hut is diligently attended by Yellowstone Club's mountain staff. Hand-crafted cabinets and bins hold homemade treats ranging from delicious beef jerky to tempting cookies, trail mix, candies, energy bars and other treats. Beverages range from steaming hot chocolate and gourmet coffee to a wide variety of teas, sport drinks and sodas.

Skiing and snowboarding at the Club is hard to sum-up: it's warm smiles and cold powder. It's families enjoying a day in the beautiful Montana mountains. It's friends racing to the bottom, and a welcoming place in the lodge to tell stories and share experiences. It's kids learning to ski in a safe and professional environment. It's steep chutes and perfectly gladed tree runs. Epitomized by Warren Miller, our Honorary Director of skiing, and Scot Schmidt, our Ski Ambassador and one of the most recognized skiers in the world, the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, is the ski experience you've always dreamed of sharing with your family.
