A traditional alpine lodge exudes warmth, charm, and a sense of camaraderie, and typically small groups of skiers and outdoor adventurers bring it to life. Gallatin Lodge enjoys that same classic feel, whether for 16 people or just two, through inspired design and decisive use of native woods and natural materials. The Lodge is framed with steel and wood, with a log, stone, and reclaimed wood exterior. Dry-stack moss rock from Harlowtown in central Montana and wide-plank reclaimed fir floors set the natural tone here, and there are endless appealing details such as the wire-brushed fir trim on windows and doors, and granite, limestone, and reclaimed wood countertops. Even the doors themselves deliver more rustic authenticity, being reclaimed cabin doors. At the same time, thoughtfully-selected elements from the modern world have been integrated in the design, including an air-to-air exchange (which circulates fresh air throughout the home), in-floor radiant heat, and pre-wiring with CAT 5, for complete ‘smart home' capability. In the ski lodge tradition, Gallatin Lodge features seven fireplaces and numerous common areas. The great room has a large rock fireplace, multiple seating areas, and an attached covered deck. Two master suites, each with large baths, walk-in closets, and fireplaces accommodate family and friends comfortably, and the main level has two more guest suites with a walk-out patio. Downstairs, the large ‘rec room' offers a bar, wine room, exercise room, bonus room, bunk room, and a room wired for a home theater system. The kitchen has a large island, multiple sinks, and huge walk-in pantry, and it opens to a family room, featuring another attached deck and an outdoor fireplace. The ski room boasts built-in lockers, a bench and a powder room with a dog wash station. Ski access to Yellowstone Club's Private PowderTM and Big Sky Resort can be found directly from this room. Whether one is entertaining several families, or relaxing by themselves, Gallatin Lodge evokes a sense of tradition that can only be experienced in the mountains of Yellowstone Club.
